Visitability Means:

- One zero step entrance on an accessible path of travel from the street, sidewalk or driveway

- Doorways that provide 32 inches clear space throughout the home's main floor and hallways that provide 36 inches of clear width

- Basic access to a half or (preferably) full bath on the main floor

Zero-step Entrances Increase Owner/Visitor Access

Lever handles and zero-step entrances are useful to a wide range of people.

The lever-handle design on doorways allows for many styles of grip, regardless of grasping ability, and are easier for people to use than knobbed doors.

This homeowner, who has difficulty walking, appreciates that she doesn't need to use steps to get in and out of her home.
