Summit’s Hamilton office has launched our first spring semester class at Hamilton High School intended primarily for freshman and sophomore students. Anna Barnes is taking the lead on facilitating the class which includes information about Self-Advocacy, Soft Skills and Job Exploration. Other organizations such as Suicide Prevention educators, Vocational Rehabilitation, Job Corp and other local employment agencies will do presentations in the class. To help students make informed career choices, one goal of the class is to help provide work-based learning experiences. Hamilton Summit has had a great start working with Hamilton High School, again showing that good relationships are key to collaboration and growth.
